Day 27: Tree

Everyday I drive Bryson to school we pass this tree.  Something about it speaks to me.  I have told him every single day that I want to take a picture of it.  Today I finally did.  It didn't turn out quite how I pictured but I still love it.  Truthfully I might try again on another day.  Who knows?

I had some friends ask me about making and selling aprons.  I decided why not give it a try.  I made 6 aprons and we will see if they sale or not.

Day 24:Budget

I can't say that this is what I dream about doing however, I dream of being debt free. So I guess that means learning to budget.  Brian bless his heart is just going along this journey with me even though I don't think he really wants to.  I am so thankful for people like Dave Ramsey who share their knowledge with others so that we can go on this journey.

Day 21:Cake

Bryson won the birthday cake this year on the radio.  It's not very manly but the boys did care, they still ate it.  Anyway we shared it with his friends at his birthday party today. Then for our big family party we had Cheerios treats, and rice Crispes treats. YUM!!

Day 19: Twelve

Holy cow!!!!  This kid is 12 today!!!!!  Happy birthday, Bryson.  One of our birthday traditions is getting up early and opening the gifts that our family gives to each other.  We are always in a pjs, with our bed head hair.  It's one of my favorite times.  We just get to be ourselves, truly ourselves.  My kids always come up with the most creative, thoughtful gifts to give each other.  It's great!!

Now a little about Bryson.  My girls call him "Chuck"  I have no idea how that got started though.  He is very thoughtful of me.  We have a really close friendship.  He is also close to his sisters.  He can talk them into doing just about anything for him.  He truly is the baby of the family and gets his own way most of the time.  He is really excited about being 12 and getting the Priesthood.

Day 18:Bed time

I was sick today, one of the side effects of Addison's disease.  Anyway when I got home from work I helped my kids for a little bit and then climbed into bed.  This is literally the time I went to bed today.  I am so thankful for a husband who is kind and understanding.  He can tell when my body is shutting down and sleep is needed.  He doesn't complain or anything.  He just steps up and plays the role of dad and mom for the day. Thanks Brian.  I sure love you.

Day 16:Shells

There is something calming about the ocean.  There is beauty in it also. We brought these beauties to our home from our last ocean trip.  I had to try photographing them as my girls were painting the bathroom where the shells belong.

In my photography group we have weekly challenges.  This week my challenge is "Red."  I still have a lot to learn about macro photography but it was fun to play with it today.  This is another shot at the flowers that Brian gave me.  I have decided that I really like pictures of flowers.  Something about them just brings me joy!

Day 13: Love

Well 21 years ago today I married my best friend.  Lucky me!  He gave me these beautiful flowers to celebrate today.  Little did he know that I have been wanting to photograph some flowers.  It was a win win situation.  Thanks Brian!  Thanks for the memories, for the love, and defiantly for the fun you have shared with me over the years.  We have a beautiful family and I thank you for that.  You truly are my better half. You make me a better person!

Day 12: Sisters

This isn't a picture of my kids but I was at a ball game and saw these sisters doing each others hair and I loved it!  I love what it represents: the unity of sisters. So to my sisters, Kara and Cherish, I want you to know that I love you!  I am so grateful to have you in my life!!

Day 11: Temple

Today I had the opportunity to go through the Manti temple with someone that my son had taught on his mission.  It was really a special day!  It was a way for me to connect with my missionary even though he wasn't there.  And it was really neat to share this special day with Brandon.

Day 10: Basketball

Our girls really struggled this week with basketball. In fact this was a great game to have over with!!  But as Brian and I have talked we decided that we go to the games to support Sheridan, win or lose.  Honestly, we really enjoy just watching her do her thing.

I swear homework is going to kill me!!  This past week has been really crazy trying to help all my kids with homework before the end of the quarter.  Poor Bryson!  We have been up so late this week working on his.  I will be grateful to have all this homework done!!!!

Day 7: Ice

We were driving home today and I saw this ice formation so I had to stop and take a picture. What you don't see is the icicles dripping down on this one.  I thought it was beautiful even though I didn't quite capture it the way I had hoped. As much as I dislike the snow and the cold, I have to admit it's breathtakingly beautiful!

Day 6: Basketball

We spend quite a bit of time watching our children play whatever sport they are on at the time.  For now Sheridan is on the basketball team.  This particular game she didn't get to play a whole lot.  She has a tendency to play hard and this time every time she got put in the game she would foul and her coaches would take her out. It's funny because she plays a lot like her brother Jordan played.  I must be raising aggressive kids or something. Who knew?

Day 5: Let it Snow, Let is Snow, Let it Snow!  Today the weather was frightful!  It was snowing and blowing and just plain COLD!!!!  Thankfully I have this cute little nook where I can cuddle up and enjoy myself. I love to look at the snow but I don't like being out in it.

It was so nice to have the day off today.  I just got to sit home and do the things that I never seem to have to time to do.  We got quite a bit done in my house and then we just relaxed for the rest of the day.  I made some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup which was a perfect meal to have today.  It was gloomy outside and it felt good to have a nice homemade meal.  Oh how I would love to spend my days at home with my family!  They sure are my favorite days.

We started the year off with a little sparking cider.  None of really like it so I am not quite sure why we did it but hey that's the way we roll.    I hope this year brings us as much happiness as 2016 did.  Bring on the good times baby!!  And it was great to get my first kiss of the year from none other than the handsome Brian Sorensen.  Oh yeah baby!!

Project 365 December

I did it!  I can't say I have made it for 365 days yet but since I started, I haven't missed a single day.  Look how cool it looks in calendar form.  This project just might be lots of fun. Now I don't love all the pictures I took but I do love them all put together like this.
