I Don't Care

Today I got a text message from my daughter that said, "What do you want for lunch and I don't care is not an option." Oh my heck I had to laugh.  I am notorious for saying that.  It truly is how I feel most of the time.  I am just happy to be here on this earth and the details just don't usually bug me that much.  I just kind of go with the flow.   But the fact of the matter is that I have been thinking a lot about my easy going attitude lately.  My sister use to hate me because when she would ask me what shirt shirt should buy I would tell her, "I don't care.  Just get whatever one you like best."  I know she thought I was just being rude but in all honesty I wasn't.  If there was a shirt I didn't like I would have told her.  I just didn't want to control what she wore.  I feel bad that it hurt her feelings so much that she still gets bothered today if her girls say "I don't care.  Just wear what you want."  So for that I am deeply sorry.  I would have never intentionally hurt her.  Now what do I do?  Do I try to be more opinionated or do I just keep on going the way I have been?

A Weekend at the Cabin

We went to the cabin for the weekend to paint our bedroom and get it all ready to get carpet in a couple weeks.  It felt like all we did was paint, but we finished the painting.  Yeah!!

Sheridan got the fun job of climbing on the ladder so she could paint the corner of the room.

I painted the ceiling and the walls.  The ceilings are 10 feet tall and were a huge pain to paint.  Check out my awesome paint pants. I wear the same pair every time that I paint and they are covered in all colors of paint streaks.

Brian puts in our ceiling fan.

I am loving this wall.

Here is a little look at the crown molding.

After the work was finished we got to play a little bit. Some of our favorite things to do up the mountain are to walk down to the meadow, drive around in Grandpa's truck to look for wildlife (unless your in the back and then you sing crazy camp songs), and go to Barney Lake and play in the water.  What makes it even better is when friends are family are there to enjoy it all with you.  All in all it was a pretty great way to spend the weekend.  Plus we will soon be able to just go up and enjoy the entire weekend without having to work so hard.

Happy camping!

MTC Roommates

Jordan (aka Elder Sorensen) with his companion Elder Peterson and their roommates Elder Grey and Elder Wakefield.
Oh what a great day it was!! I got to email back and forth with my son.  Then a friend of mine sent me this picture of our sons in the MTC.  It was just awesome!  There is nothing quite so great as hearing from your missionary especially when he sounds happy and is doing well.  Oh what a beautiful day it has been.

Letters to my Missionary

Even though I can't figure out how to turn this picture, I thought I would share.  I decided I wanted to make my letters to my son a little bit fun.  So here is the second one I have sent to him. Doesn't it just make it a little more appealing to the eye than a regularly addressed envelope?  Will he appreciate it? Probably not but it makes me feel a little better and I guess that's enough for me.

Love My Family

Today I got a CD of family pictures that Holly Bown took.  I love them!  Here are a
few of my favorite ones. I sure think I have cute kids!

Ok so this picture cracks me up because Jordan felt like he was showing his butt to the camera.  When Holly asked him to turn that way her thought she was kidding.  I think it turned out great though.

As for this one you can tell we are laughing.  My girls felt really awkward holding hands with each other, but aren't they just cute as can be?

Here are my favorite boys in the whole world. I love them to pieces!!

This is just a really cute shot of my kids.  They tend to be our lives.  Don't know what we would do without them.

This one I my favorite.  I mean really how gorgeous is that?

Farewell my sweet boy

It was Jordan's farewell today.  He did such an amazing job.  After church we went to the park for lunch and of course a million pictures.  We just all love him and wish him the best.

Here is Brian's entire family.  Crazy huh?

This is us.  I think my kids are adorable.
